Slavic Native Faith – Rodnoverie

Rodnoverie is a special way of life and thinking, it is a special worldview. On the 7th of August 2004, the Slavic Native Faith community leaders from Russia, Belarus, Poland and Ukraine gathered for the 2nd Slavic Rodnoverie Congress in the town of Kobrin, Belarus.

Upon a long discussion they issued a common definition statement of what person can be referred as Rodnover, the follower of the Slavic Native Faith:

• Genetically belongs to the Slavic lineage
• Respects traditional Slavic customs
• Adheres to the Rodnoverie worldview
• Praises the ancient Slavic Gods

People do not belong to the Slavic Native Faith (Rodnoverie) if they:

• Genetically do not belong to the Slavic lineage
• Reject polytheism
• Adhere to foreign religions, both monotheistic and polytheistic
• Worship fictional gods
• Invent and conduct rituals that have no connection with our ancestors’ traditions
• Present themselves as messengers of certain prophets or their teachings
