Slavic Native Faith School was established in 2008 by Vadim Kazakov – who is one of the founding fathers of the largest Slavic Native Faith organisation in Eastern Europe*, he is also the founder of the leading Slavic Native Faith publication – “Rodnoverie” magazine.
The name of the School in Russian is “Uchilishche Rodnoy Very Slovian” (URVS). Rodnaya Vera or Native Faith, is a pre-Christian system of beliefs of our Slavic ancestors. Nowadays, it is often referred as Rodnoverie.
Over 1600 students from Russia, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine and other countries went through various URVS school programs. That includes history, ethnography, calendar, Slavic rituals, herbalism, anomalistic studies, and many others. Each year the number of students is steadily growing. During the past 15 years many of the graduates formed Rodnover communities in their hometowns.
Every season many students come to celebrate Slavic holidays to the URVS school’s educational base. The land property is owned by the URVS school and is located in one-hour drive from Kaluga city in a beautiful place with a poetic name “The Quiet Mountain”.
URVS school students learn to perform Slavic rituals in all weather conditions 🙂
As Mother Nature was the most important “shrine and sanctuary” for our ancestors, we continue that tradition – and all URVS school advanced training programs are held at the “Quite Mountain” educational base amid the trees and under the open sky, where students put into practice their knowledge received during the online classes.
